Racing this weekend!

We started our weekend at Greenville Indoor Series. Turnout was a little low, but with the economy in a slump and temperatures low that was to be expected. There was a few injuries. Dash for cash was won by Donald Alfred with ShaneO close behind for 2nd place. The track of course as always is tight and has its challenges. My rider won 3rd place in 450 A and won 25.00. Which is the entry fee he paid to race the class. We ended up in Vanleer, TN for a hare scrambles there. Left the Ezell's compound at 8:15 Sunday morning for the 1 1/2 hour drive with frost on everything and I beleive the temp was 25-30 degrees, ground froze hard as a rock! You know what that means when it starts to warm up a little, thats right slick and greasy in the woods. Well the bike we were aboard lost the cam chain tensioner and well you guessed it along with that came the loss of oil. Just as Heath was ready to go back out someone stopped him and said "Son I don't think I would ride that bike anymore", needless to say our day was done. All of the Pro-Action guys were hauling it. Dustin Gibson, Darin Downs, Tyson Ezell, Tanner Byarly, Trevor Ezell, and Heath Wink (for awhile until we lost our oil) All in all it was a good weekend

Echo Valley

For the past 2 days we have been at Echo Valley taking photos. The track was excellent. Ruts, ruts and more ruts. Towards the end of the day the track got a little rough. We also reconnected with some old friends from Casey that we had not seen in about 3 years, Kurt Monk and his girlfriend. Shawn Clark was also there. Had not seen him ride for a long time and he still looked fast. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rideouts for a very nice place to ride. As long as the weather holds out we will be outdoors taking pictures of motocross until we are forced to go indoors.

800 MX

Planning on heading to 800 MX on Saturday. Steve is ripping the track today. Hoping to get some shots of everyone there. Weather is supposed to be good. Sunday we will be heading over to Echo Valley to shoot some pics there as well. Should be a great weekend of riding. It won't be too long before the Greenville Indoor Series starts and outdoor riding will come to an end, so why not take advantage of it while you can.

Meade County MX

Well the day at Meade County did not turn out as well as I had expected. The bike turnout was pretty good. The quad count was 4 I think. I had a few local riders with me like, Heath Wink, Austin Peay, Jessie and Jarrod Howard, Max Boswell along with Jamison Boswell and his dad Jimmy. The track was in pretty good shape. The guys were on their 3rd round of practice when Heath took a spill from a rock on the track the size of your helmet. It ripped the kill switch completely off of the bike along with the left hand grip as he went to the ground. Our day was done or so I thought. Jarrod was not riding his bike so that gave Heath something else to ride. ( Suzuki 250F ) He had scrapes on his back starting from the top of his shoulder to the top of his thigh. Could have been a lot worse than it really was. All in all every body went home in one piece and we all had a good time.

800 MX Vet Race

This is an annual race that 800 MX has every year for the Vet racers. Since the Vet riders also have young riders too, Steve Ezell decided to include the younger riders by adding support classes for the young guns. The Unlimited class was pretty fast but the 15-24 class was the class to watch, with riders like Jack Campbell, Ty Ezell, Tanner Byarly and Heath Wink all battling for that coveted first place win. All the classes had fast riders in them. The weather was awesome with a good turnout, everyone had a fun time
